BDE: Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz, Z”l
Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz, z”l, founder and president of ArtScroll/Mesorah Publications, was niftar on Shabbos at the age of 73.
Since first publishing an English translation of Megillas Esther in 1976, ArtScroll revolutionized the Jewish publishing industry, releasing Tanach, Mishnayos, Shas and many other sefarim translated into English and many other languages, as well as numerous English books. There is hardly a Jewish, English-speaking home that does not contain many ArtScroll sefarim and books.
The levayah will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Shomrei Hadas Chapels in Boro Park, on 14th Ave. and 39th St.
