3 Shalit-Deal Terrorists Arrested in Yerushalayim Riot

Border Guards over the weekend arrested six Arabs in Yerushalayim who participated in a riot. The Arabs were arrested for throwing rocks and stones at security officers. Three rioters were arrested for climbing the security fence from Palestinian Authority-controlled areas. Under interrogation, it emerged that they were among the 1,000-some terrorists who had been released in the deal to free IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

Under the terms of their release, the terrorists were to change their ways and no longer engage in terror activities; if they were rearrested they would return to prison to finish  the rest of their sentences. All six were being questioned by security officials.

On Shabbos, Hamas fired rockets from Gaza in test operations. The missiles were fired towards the Mediterranean. IDF officials said that Hamas was attempting to improve the range and capability of their rockets in preparation for the next round of fighting with Israel.

Overnight Motzoei Shabbos, security officials said they arrested four wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
