IDF Soldiers Shut Down ‘Incitement Center’ in Shechem

IDF soldiers early Sunday entered Shechem and sealed a store that was found to be selling explosives and materials inciting Arabs to murder Jews, and was used as a site for terrorists to plan attacks against Jews. The owner of the store was arrested. The IDF seized materials from the store before sealing it. The army said that it was the latest in a number of similar actions designed to reduce incitement.

Soldiers also located the house of the terrorist who carried out a stabbing attack against Israelis on Shabbos in the Old City of Yerushalayim. Soldiers raided the house, looking for evidence of the terrorist’s connection to terror groups. Two Israeli youths and a Border Patrol officer were lightly injured Shabbos afternoon when the terrorist attacked them on Rehov Hagai in the Old City. He was shot and killed after Border Patrol officers cornered him in the stairwell of an apartment building. The two civilian victims were released from the hospital Sunday morning after being treated for light injuries overnight Saturday.

Overnight Motzoei Shabbos, soldiers also seized firebombs in a house in Jenin. Several arrests were made. Security officials said they arrested 5 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
