The Torah world mourned the petirah of Hagaon Harav Aharon Zaks zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Slabodka Latze’irim, who was niftar late Wednesday night in Bnei Brak at the age of 82.
Rav Aharon zt”l was born on the first of Tammuz 5694 (1934) in Yerushalayim and was one of the first to learn in the Slabodka Yeshiva, where he became very attached to his rebbi Hagaon Harav Isaac Sher zt”l. He later married the daughter Harav Yosef Landau, zt”l.
Famed for his Torah knowledge and Yiras Shamayim, Rav Zaks spent his entire life toiling in Torah and merited to raised generations of disciples who follow in his lofty path.
The levaya will set out today iy”H towards noon from the yeshiva’s bais midrash in Bnei Brak, on its way to the local bais hachayim.
