Man Left Explosive Device at NYC Bus Terminal
A man left a crude explosive device in a briefcase at Manhattan’s Port Authority bus terminal, but it didn’t detonate. Arsenio Mason, 39, was charged Thursday with possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Mason left a briefcase on a chair inside a deli during Wednesday night rush hour. A bomb squad detective said it contained a crude device. No injuries were reported. Mason was arrested nearby and is being held without bail on a separate criminal case in California.
