Jenin Teen Killed in Riot, Arab Media Reports

Arab media reported Sunday that a 19-year-old Jenin rioter was killed when he attacked IDF troops in a refugee camp in the city. According to the reports, three other rioters were injured in the riot. The IDF has not commented on the matter.

The riot ensued when soldiers entered the camp in order to arrest wanted security suspects. A large group of youths gathered and began throwing rocks, bricks, and firebombs at soldiers, who responded with anti-riot tactics, including rubber bullets. One rioter was struck by a bullet, the reports said, injuring him. He later died of his injuries.

Overnight Motzoei Shabbos, security officials said they arrested 3 wanted security suspects in areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas.
