Attempted Stabbing Attack in Shechem Thwarted

Early Tuesday morning, an Arab terrorist wielding a knife approached IDF soldiers who were patrolling in the Far’a neighborhood of Shechem. The terrorist shouted “All-hu Akbar” and tried to stab the soldiers, who tried to apprehend him but, as he kept on approaching them and ignored warnings to halt, they opened fire. He was subsequently pronounced dead.

Palestinian sources identified the man as 32-year-old Mohammed al-Salhi.

As the stabbing attempt was occurring, other terrorists fired shots and threw explosive devices towards the IDF soldiers.  B’chasdei Shamayim, there were no injuries among the soldiers.
