IDF Soldier Killed in Tank Training Mishap
An IDF soldier died overnight Wednesday during a training exercise. Ramat Hasharon native Sergeant Ido Ben Ari, z”l, 20, a tank commander on the Golan Heights, was killed, and three other soldiers injured when the tank they were riding in overturned during the exercise. The information was released for publication Thursday.
The army has opened an investigation into how the incident occurred. Tank exercises in the Golan have been suspended pending the investigation’s results. Funeral plans have not yet been announced.
