An IDF soldier was lightly injured when terrorists fired at a group of soldiers as they rode in a jeep near Kabatiya in northern Shomron. The soldier was treated at the site of the shooting, and later taken to a hospital for further treatment. Other soldiers opened fire on the shooters, as groups of rioting Arabs threw stones and firebombs at them. A second soldier was lightly injured in the riot. He was treated on site.

In a separate incident, terrorists opened fire at IDF soldiers on patrol north of Shechem overnight Thursday. There were no injuries among the soldiers. The terrorists ran away after firing, and soldiers began a search for them.
