Hezbollah Patrol Hits Mine on Border With Israel, Three Injured
A Hezbollah motorized patrol drove over a mine close to the Israeli border, injuring three of the terrorists.
At the time of the explosion, an IDF patrol was directly opposite them on the Israeli side of the border, but b’chasdei Shamayim, they were unhurt.
One of the Hezbollah men was critically wounded, while the other two sustained moderate and light wounds respectively.
Members of UNIFIL, the international force which is responsible for monitoring the border area, arrived to assist the wounded and evacuate them to hospitals in Lebanon.
Israeli defense sources said the mine was probably planted by enemy forces on the border with the intent of harming IDF soldiers, but the plan went awry.
