Shock Poll: Clinton 30 Points Ahead of Trump in New York
A new poll out Monday shows Democrat Hillary Clinton with a whopping 30-point lead over Republican Donald Trump in their home state of New York.
The Siena survey showed that 60 percent answered “no” when asked if Clinton is honest and trustworthy, and 69 percent said the same about Trump. By a 40 point margin, they call Clinton more qualified to be president.
As little as last month, Trump said he would become the first Republican to compete in the state since 1988.
“New Yorkers have voted Democratic in the last seven presidential elections and there does not appear to be a real threat to end that streak,” said Siena pollster Steven Greenberg.
