Potential Terror Bombing Thwarted in Shomron

YERUSHALAYIM -

Ministry of Defense Border guards apprehended a Palestinian driving in the Shomron with four homemade pipe bombs in his possession early Monday morning.

He was stopped and searched at a checkpoint on Route 5 in the Shomron region while driving toward the Israeli side of the Green Line, in the direction of the town of Kfar Saba.

The unidentified man, from the southern Palestinian town of Rahat, was taken for questioning by security forces.

Bechasdei Hashem, experts detonated the bombs safely, presumably averting a terrorist attack, while the road was closed to traffic for several hours.
