One Person Dead in Hadera Drowning

A 25-year-old man drowned on Wednesday evening off the coast of the northern city of Hadera.

After being pulled out of the sea, the man was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and unconscious. Sadly, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

A second person, 22, was also pulled out of the sea and evacuated to a hospital for emergency treatment. His condition was listed as light to moderate.

A third swimmer, 12, was reported lightly injured, given first aid on the scene and did not require hospitalization. All three were chareidim, though their names have not yet been released to the press.

MDA paramedics Kati Shusman and Roni Drori were the emergency responders: ‘When we got there, we saw three young men who had been pulled out of the sea lying on the sand at the water’s edge,” they said. “We gave them emergency aid. One was unconscious and we immediately started resuscitation efforts.”
