YERUSHALAYIM - A report in the London-based Arabic daily A-Shaq al-Awsat said that the Israeli Navy was preparing for a major terror attack attempt, led by IS and/or Hamas. The attack could take place off the coast of the Mediterranean, or near Eilat. The report, cited on Israel Radio Thursday, quoted senior Israeli defense officials as saying that the navy was on “very high alert.” In any event, the officials told the newspaper, Israel was ready to deal with the problem.

Overnight Wednesday, security officials said they arrested 6 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. They were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
