Obama to Pay Historic Visit to Hiroshima During Asia Trip

WASHINGTON (Reuters) —

Barack Obama will be the first U.S. president to visit Hiroshima while still in office, when he goes there later this month during his trip to Vietnam and Japan.

President Obama will visit Hiroshima with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during his travels in the region between May 21 and May 28, the White House said in a statement. This is the president’s 10th trip to Asia.
