1 Wounded in Stabbing at Lion’s Gate in Yerushalayim; Terrorist Apprehended

One man was wounded in a stabbing at the Lions’ Gate entrance to the Old City of Yerushalayim on Monday night.

According to reports from Magen David Adom, an Israeli man, 60, sustained moderate wounds to his upper body and was evacuated to Shaarei Zedek Hospital in the capital. Hatzolah volunteer Haim Attias described the victim as a student at the Shuvu Banim Yeshivah, who was attacked as he left the yeshivah. He was fully conscious while being treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital.

The terrorist, an 18-year-old Palestinian, fled the scene of the attack. After an intensive search, he was found hiding in an alleyway ion the Old City, and taken into custody.
