Israeli Officer Injured in Chevron Stabbing

A Border Patrol officer was injured Shabbos morning in a stabbing attack near Me’aras Hamachpelah. The officer was lightly injured and treated on site. The 17-year-old terrorist was shot and killed by officers.

In another incident on Shabbos, an Arab truck driver tried to run an IDF jeep off the road. The Israeli jeep was on patrol, and the Arab truck driver rammed into it on the road between Mevo Dotan and Chermesh in northern Shomron. B’chasdei Shamayim, none of the three soldiers in the jeep were hurt. The Arab truck sped away. IDF troops searching for the truck found it abandoned in a nearby Arab village.

Meanwhile, IDF troops captured an Arab who had breached the security fence between Israel and Gaza Friday night. It’s not clear if the Arab had attempted to enter Israel in order to carry out a terror attack. He was detained for questioning.
