Two IDF soldiers sustained light to moderate wounds in a stabbing attack at Har Brachah near Shechem on Wednesday evening.

The two terrorists who attacked the soldiers fled, and a massive manhunt was launched in the area. Residents of Har Brachah were asked to remain indoors until the terrorists were caught.

The soldiers’ weapons were taken from them during the attack but were subsequently found near the entrance to the Jewish community.

Shomron Regional Council chief Yossi Dagan told reporters: “We have opened an emergency headquarters and are waiting for security directions. The incident has not ended.”

One of the soldiers was stabbed in the shoulder and was lightly to moderately wounded. Magen David Adom evacuated the soldier to hospital. The other soldier was lightly wounded and given treatment by IDF medics at the scene.
