Flakes Give Way to Arctic Freeze in NYC-Area

NEW YORK (AP/Hamodia) —

Snowflakes Wednesday night gave way to the big freeze as Arctic air pushes into the New York City area.

But forecasters say Thursday’s cold temperatures are nothing compared to what’s coming over the weekend. Wind chills of 10 to 25 degrees below zero are possible late Saturday and Sunday.

Forecasters say there is a chance for rain and snow on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will warm up after that, possibly into the 50s.
