NEW YORK (AP) —

A Muslim man attacked while walking his 9-year-old niece home from school said he was knocked unconscious on the sidewalk while the scared little girl wept.

Bangladesh native Mujibur Rahman said he was near the Bronx school at about 5:30 p.m. Friday when he was jumped from behind. The attackers yelled “ISIS, ISIS” while beating him, he told the New York Post. He said he didn’t even understand what they were talking about.
