IDF troops on Wednesday morning eliminated a group of terrorists that was planning to set bombs along the Gaza border fence. The group was discovered during an IDF patrol, and forces were sent to bomb them from the air. Several of the terrorists were killed. Hamas later reported that one terrorist had been killed and three injured.

The IDF also issued a warning to farmers and workers in the Gaza border fence area to stay at least several hundred meters away from the fence. IDF officials say that there is a possibility that the gang planted other explosives along the border. The main concern among security officials is that if a bomb goes off and creates an opening in the fence, it would give Gaza Arab terrorists an opportunity to infiltrate Israel and carry out a mass terror attack, chas v’shalom.

Overnight Tuesday, IDF troops arrested five wanted terrorists in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were caught in the Shechem, Ramallah and Chevron areas. According to security officials, one was arrested for operating as part of a Hamas terror cell, and the others were arrested for participating in riots and throwing rocks and firebombs which endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
