Israeli Health Minister Rabbi Yaakov Litzman is visiting the United States to discuss cooperation between the two countries on healthcare issues.

Accompanied by top Health Ministry aides, Rabbi Litzman will spend Shabbos at the Agudath Israel of America’s convention in Miami, where he will speak during the keynote Motzoei Shabbos session.

Rabbi Litzman will arrive in the United States on Thursday morning. He is tentatively scheduled to meet in New York with Jewish liaisons from U.S. hospitals to discuss how to improve communications with Jewish patients.

On Monday, Rabbi Litzman will be in Washington and visit the U.S. Health and Human Services Department. He and HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell will sign a slew of healthcare cooperation agreements between the two governments.

During the visit, the minister will visit with Gedolei Yisrael and brief them on the situation in Eretz Yisroel.
