Agudath Israel of America praised the omnibus spending bill that passed Congress and was signed by President Obama over the weekend for its security aid to Israel.

“Agudath Israel of America commends President Obama and the members of Congress for their long and strong support of Israel’s security needs and, most recently, for allocating $3.1 billion in security assistance as part of the recent omnibus appropriations bill for fiscal year 2016,” read an Agudah press release.

“Among the assistance to Israel is $487.6 million for U.S.-Israel cooperative missile defense programs, including the ‘Iron Dome’ system, and $40 million for a new joint U.S.-Israel anti-tunneling initiative.
