Harav Ephraim Yechezkel Paneth, zt”l, The Deizher Rebbe of Ramat Aharon
Members of the Deizh community in Bnei Brak and around the world were thrown into shock and mourning Sunday with the sudden passing in London of Harav Ephraim Yechezkel Paneth, zt”l, the Deizher Rebbe of Ramat Aharon in Bnei Brak, at the age of 49.
Rav Ephraim Yechezkel was the son of the Deizher Rebbe, Rav Dov Berish Paneth, zt”l, of Ramot.
The niftar, who had suffered from a heart condition, was visiting London for the bar mitzvah of the son of a close friend. On Sunday evening, a worker at the Kadimah Hotel in Stamford Hill discovered Rav Ephraim Yechezkel’s lifeless body. Hatzalah members worked on him for an hour, but it was to no avail.
The niftar is survived by his mother, the Deizher Rebbetzin; his wife, the daughter of Harav Yehuda Jacob, the Rav of the Ramat Eliyahu neighborhood in Rishon Letzion; and several children.
