Christie Embarks on Media Blitz to Get Into Next Debate

TRENTON (AP) —

Gov. Chris Christie embarked on a media blitz Thursday as he works to gain traction in his Republican presidential primary campaign and end up in the next debate.

The New Jersey governor appeared on a handful of morning and comedy shows that included participating in a focus group and taking questions.

A super-PAC supporting Christie’s bid also announced its second ad. It features Christie railing against the Iran nuclear deal at one of his many town hall events in New Hampshire.

While early national polls are notoriously unreliable, they have taken on significance now because they are being used to determine which 10 candidates make it into the early debates.
