NY State Police To Update Patrol Vehicle Fleet
Responding to a complaint by the troopers’ union, New York State Police said that an update of the patrol vehicle fleet will be completed by next year, removing those with more than 125,000 miles driven.
The State Troopers Police Benevolent Association complained last week that 45 percent of the roughly 1,300 patrol vehicles have traveled more than 100,000 miles, with nearly one-third having more than 125,000 miles. They said that caused breakdowns.
