Legionnaire’s Bacteria Found at 2 Bronx Buildings
Investigators hunting for the source of a Legionnaires disease outbreak in the Bronx discovered samples of the bacteria in air conditioning equipment at Lincoln Hospital and a theater.
Health Commissioner Mary Bassett said Thursday that authorities still don’t know whether there is any link between that contaminated equipment and the outbreak, which has sickened 46 people since July 10.
None of the sick people, including two who died, were at the hospital.
