Moetzes Directs MKs Regarding Coalition Agreements
The Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisrael met on Monday evening in Yerushalayim, and directed the Agudas Yisrael MKs regarding the details of the coalition agreements.
As is known, UTJ only entered the current government coalition after their conditions regarding the Torah world, large families and religious legislation were made as clauses of the coalition agreement. The acceptance of this legislation was grounds for their joining the government.
In recent days, some of the coalition partners have begun attempting to avoid fulfilling those promises made merely two months ago. The leaders of UTJ have made it clear that they would not let such a thing happen.
At the Monday meeting of the Moetzes in Yerushalayim, the Gedolim also heard a report from the MKs regarding various pressing issues.
After an extensive discussion, the decisions of the Moetzes were given to the MKs.
