Greek Foreign Minister Visits Israel Amid Crisis at Home

YERUSHALAYIM (AP/Hamodia) —

Israel is hosting Greece’s Foreign Minister Nicos Kotzias for a three-day visit as his country faces a financial crisis at home.

“It is my pleasure to host you in Yerushalayim. You are coming here at a critical time for Greece and I appreciate the fact that you came despite dramatic events taking place in your country,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu said Kotzias’s visit demonstrates the true commitment that Israel and Greece have to strengthen their relationship.

Kotzias is meeting with Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials. He will also visit the Palestinian Authority.

Nahshon said the visit was planned more than a month ago.
