Assemblyman Dov Hikind on Monday held a counterterrorism workshop for yeshivah administrators, with the goal of having drills carried out in all local mosdos over the next few months.

Officials from the NYPD and the NYC Office of Emergency Management met at Hikind’s Boro Park office with representatives of local mosdos.

Seminars were given by Sgt. Stephen Iannone of the NYPD Counter-terrorism Division, along with Ira Tannenbaum, assistant commissioner of OEM’s Public-Private Initiatives.

“Great things are happening in our community with regard to being more aware of security needs,” Hikind said. “Today’s meeting was to take us beyond the talking stage and start moving towards action.”
