Greenfield Invites Non-Profits to Apply For City Funding

BROOKLYN (Hamodia Staff) —

Councilman David Greenfield is inviting all non-profit organizations in his district to attend a budget workshop to learn about the city’s application process for funding.

In order to apply for funding, non-profit organizations must send a representative to this meeting, to be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7:15 p.m. at Greenfield’s office at 4424-16th Avenue in Boro Park.

To RSVP, call 718-853-2704 or e-mail dgreenfield@council.nyc.gov.

“In less than five years in office,” Greenfield said of his fifth annual workshop, “I have brought back over $10 million to outstanding community groups. The way we do it is simple — you attend the meeting and get all the information and consideration you need. By doing this, we have opened up the process to many new groups that have never received funding before.”

Greenfield’s district encompasses much of Boro Park, Flatbush and Bensonhurst. Representatives who attend will have the opportunity to summarize their organization’s activities. Groups that attend, Greenfield said, are guaranteed that their organization will be considered for funding.
