NYC Councilmembers Give $2 Million for New Ohel Campus

BROOKLYN (Hamodia Staff) —

A ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for Ohel’s new campus in Boro Park featured several lawmakers who helped fund it.

Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and Councilman David Greenfield allocated from their discretionary funds $1 million each for the new home of Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services at 1268 East 14th Street. They were joined by Councilmen Julissa Ferreras and Alan Maisel to celebrate the organization’s expansion into a new building.
