Ex-Teacher Suspended For Mocking Student’s Name

WAYNE, N.J. (AP) —

A former New Jersey teacher’s license was suspended for a year after she mocked a student’s name. Yvette Nicholas agreed her action was immature. The name was not disclosed.

Nichols resigned from her tenured job in a Wayne elementary school in September 2013. She admitted posting comments online such as, “I want to ask the parents if I can change it,” “I still can’t get over the student’s name!” and “How do you think I feel when I have to address him???? I literally can’t stop laughing!”
