Judge Tosses Jersey Shore Town’s Parking Ordinance

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. (AP) —

A judge has ruled a Jersey shore town’s parking ordinance is unconstitutional and motorists might be eligible for refunds since signs don’t sufficiently warn motorists that they must display the parking receipt on the driver’s side dashboard as proof of payment.

The judge sided with Camden County lawyer Kevin Walsh, who appealed his Point Pleasant Beach parking ticket. He is considering Walsh’s request to order the town to refund motorists who have been fined for failing to display the ticket.
