Bris Milah at Bedside of Wounded Soldier
IDF soldier Yehudah Hayisraeli suffered serious head wounds during combat in Gaza at the beginning of Operation Protective Edge.
After several surgical operations, he remained in the intensive care unit at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva.
A week ago, his wife, Rivka, gave birth to their second child, also at Soroka.
On Thursday, an emotional bris milah took place at the hospital, at which the newborn boy was named Ezra Yechezkel, Arutz Sheva reported.
At the request of the family, the bris was conducted at the father’s bedside, along with dozens of family and friends in attendance Doctor Moti Klein, director of intensive care at Soroka, noted that Hayisraeli was among the most seriously wounded of the soldiers who have been treated there since Operation Protective Edge.
“There is no doubt that this was one of the most moving experiences we’ve had during these days, and we’ve had some very moving ones,” Klein said..
