Hamas Drone Developer Assassinated
Yesterday, it was released for publication that the developer of the Hamas-made drone was assassinated in an air strike on Friday.
In a combined operation of the IDF and the GSS in the Gaza Strip, an airstrike targeted a car in which Ismail Mohammed Sa’adi Akluk , 25, of Gaza, was inside. He was killed on impact.
Akluk was the most active engineer in the Hamas military wing, and has been working for several years on researching, developing and producing advanced weapons for the group, and was especially active in the drone development department. Hamas tried to send a drone into Israel last week, which was downed by the IDF. He was also active in the rocket network.
The liquidation of Akluk means that Hamas’ ability to advance their drone program will be severely hampered from here on in.
