Parents Charged After 2-Year-Old Found on Road
Authorities have charged the parents of a 2-year-old girl with endangering the welfare of a child after a motorist found the toddler walking along an Adirondack road at night.
The driver spotted the girl around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday along Route 8, 70 miles north of Albany. He took the child to a nearby fire station, where someone believed they knew where the child lived. Her parents said they thought the girl was inside.
Police say the girl was outside for up to 45 minutes. Her 26-year-old father and 23-year-old mother were issued tickets to appear in court.
