Men Throw Out $1M Ticket, Sue NJ Lottery
Two New York men are suing in federal court the New Jersey Lottery after they threw out a Powerball ticket worth $1 million, The Record reported. Salvatore Cambria and Erick Onyango the lottery didn’t update its website with the winning numbers from the March 23 drawing quickly enough. They checked the website soon after the 11 p.m. drawing and tossed the ticket when the numbers didn’t match. They say they won but the site was showing the previous drawing’s numbers.
