D-Day Fundraising Pitch Calls Cuomo a ‘Tyrant’
A video independent of but supporting Republican candidate for governor Rob Astorino urged viewers to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day on Friday by donating to defeat Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whom the ad called a tyrant. The video features photos of U.S. soldiers storming the Normandy beaches with photos of Cuomo accompanied by text declaring a “solemn obligation” to “remove tyrants.” The “D-Day Money Bomb” was designed to raise as much money for the candidate as possible in 24 hours.
