Camilla’s Brother Dies in NY After Head Injury
The brother of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, died Wednesday after sustaining a serious head injury following a fall in New York, British royal officials said. Mark Shand, 62, fell late Tuesday while in New York for a charity auction. Clarence House said in a statement that Camilla and her husband Prince Charles are “utterly devastated by this sudden and tragic loss.” Shand was chairman of the elephant conservation charity and is known for his work as a travel writer and conservationist.
