Cuomo: Charter School Talks With Lawmakers
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday that a solution to provide space for charter schools in public school buildings is being discussed with legislative leaders but it is only a “technical issue.” Cuomo says that charter schools are public schools and shouldn’t have to pay rent. Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver also called Mayor Bill de Blasio’s decision not to allow three co-locations “inappropriate.”
