NY Gets Waiver to Eliminate Double Math Test
Some New York seventh- and eighth-graders will have one less math exam to take after the state received a federal waiver Thursday, The Associated Press reported. Advanced students who anyways take the math Regents can now skip the state test. The decision affects nearly 60,000 students and is part of efforts to reduce the amount of time spent on tests.
