Buffalo Embraces Post-Prohibition Era
The first Buffalo distillery since Prohibition opened Saturday. Lockhouse’s only product is vodka, but there are plans to add whiskey and other spirits in the future. The small distillery expects to make a few dozen bottles of vodka each day. Prohibition, which banned alcoholic drinks, ended more than 80 years ago, but many cities still hesitated to grant licenses.
