In Knockout Twist, Victim Fights Off Attackers
A Jewish woman in Crown Heights fought off an attempted knockout Tuesday, turning the tables in what is a growing phenomenon in Jewish areas of Brooklyn.
The woman, a nurse whose name was not released, was approached by several African American teenagers on Utica Ave. and Eastern Parkway and was the victim of a sick knockout game, in which gangs dare each other to knock a person out in a single blow.
However, the woman fought back, causing the attackers to flee the scene.
“She chased the kids,” Rabbi Yaakov Behrman, founder of the Jewish Future Alliance, said. She declined to make a report.
