White NJ Trooper Sues for ‘Reverse-Discrimination’
A state trooper is suing New Jersey State Police, claiming he was passed over for promotions because he is a white man.
Robert Schaffter, a 33-year-old trooper since 2004, claims he’s been passed over for several transfers and promotions that went to equally or lesser qualified minority officers. The suit comes as State Police emerge from a 10 year court-ordered federal monitoring after settling a 2000 discrimination lawsuit.
