Passengers Stranded for Hours on Bus to NY
Several dozen bus passengers traveling from North Carolina to New York City finally reached the city early Wednesday after their broken bus left them stranded for nearly 24 hours.
The bus from ABC Tours broke down in Virginia hours after leaving Durham, N.C., late Monday. Some passengers braved the heat at a nearby rest stop for hours while others stayed on the bus without water, food or air conditioning. While the bus was fixed at 3 a.m. Tuesday, it broke down again nine hours later only miles down the road. All passengers were getting refunds.
