Fire in Belz Yeshivah, Bnei Brak
A fire broke out in a Belz yeshivah on Shamai Street in Bnei Brak on Monday, Arutz Sheva reported.
One of the rebbeim in the yeshivah suffered back injuries when he jumped from a first-floor window to escape the fire and smoke that filled a shiur room, and was taken to hospital in moderate condition.
“When I reached the site of the fire, I saw an avreich lying in the street,” recounted Yechiel Miller, a Hatzalah volunteer. “He was fully conscious, and told me that he jumped out because of the smoke.
B’chasdei Shamayim, the bachurim of the yeshivah exited unharmed.
An initial investigation indicated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
