Passengers, JetBlue Settle Suit Over Pilot Rampage

MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) —

A lawsuit accusing JetBlue of negligence after a pilot had a meltdown on a New York-to-Las Vegas flight has been quietly settled in late April. Terms were not disclosed.

Passengers claimed JetBlue was “grossly negligent” in allowing Capt. Clayton Osbon to fly. Osbon allegedly yelled about terrorism and Sept. 11 during a flight in March 2012. The plane made an emergency landing in Amarillo, Texas.

Osbon was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
