Yom Tefillah to Be Held Thursday Over Yeshivah Draft
In light of the grave situation caused by the ongoing government campaign against Torah Jewry in Eretz Yisrael, Gedolei Yisrael have instructed that tefillos be held tomorrow, Yom Kippur Kattan (mukdam), in shuls and yeshivos and additional chapters of Tehillim will be recited.
Torah Jews are deeply anguished and gravely concerned about the law to draft yeshivah students, whose objective is to pull scholars out of the beis medrash; the intentions to interfere in the content of the curriculums in chareidi schools and to slash budgets for chareidi public institutions.
The Gedolim have called on the public to daven that these plans be thwarted, and to also keep in mind that Eretz Yisrael is surrounded by enemies from without, seeking to annihilate it, and that their plans, too, should be thwarted.
