Missing Goat in Monsey Returned to Owners

MONSEY, N.Y. (AP) —

An Orthodox Jewish family in Monsey welcomed back their Nigerian dwarf goat that had been missing since Friday, after authorities determined that the goat had been “kidnapped” by a group of teenagers.

The Ramapo Police Department didn’t have a missing goat list, so they put the goat on its missing dog list.

Montebello Mayor Jeffrey Oppenheim said that the goat was found wandering on Saturday morning. He said it apparently was a pet for one of the owner’s children.
